Bradley Adams, son of Todd and Jennifer Adams, Dallas, recently completed the Troop “P” Camp Cadet Program, a week-long summer camp for boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 15 from Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania State Troopers, local police officers and other volunteers staff the camp. The goal of the camp is to introduce participants to the diverse criminal justice system and establish a positive relationship with law enforcement personnel. The camp focuses on discipline, self-esteem, teamwork, drug and alcohol education, violence prevention and many other issues. The cadets participate in group activities and physical fitness challenges and are observed for leadership, positive attitudes and helping fellow cadets. Adams was chosen to return as a Junior Counselor next year and was selected to attend Honor Camp in Hershey. Honor Camp showcases the best cadets from all of the Camp Cadet programs in the state. Approximately 50 cadets out of the 1,500 participants are chosen for the Honor Camp. Adams, 14, is an eighth-grade student at Dallas Middle School.
