    Joseph Michael Evans, 49, of Orchard Street, Plymouth, died Monday in Salem
   
TownshipBorn in Kingston, he was son of Catherine Evans Pukec and the late
Peter Evans.
   
He resided in Larksville and was a member of the Larksville Recreation
Board before moving to Plymouth.
   
He was employed as an auto mechanic by Rent A Wreck, Kingston; JC Penney;
and Bidwell Garage, Luzerne.
   
He was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Kingston.
   
Surviving in addition to his mother are children Bridget Owens, Adrienne
Evans and Jesse Evans, all of Plymouth; Brian Evans, Larksville; two
grandchildren; sisters Barbara Morris, Larksville; Joan Ruth, Dallas; Cathy
Evans, Towanda; and several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Joseph C. Betz
Funeral Home, 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, with a Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. in St.
Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Kingston.
   
Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Pringle.
   
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
   
Parastas services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. James
Mitchko officiating.
