Benco Dental displays cancer survivor artwork

A display of artwork painted by Luzerne County cancer survivors and caregivers was featured at Benco Dental, Pittston, during September and October. ‘Tiles: From Tears to Triumph’ was created by the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute. It is made up of replications of ceramic tiles painted as part of an art therapy program. With the display, from left, are members of Benco’s Community Boosters volunteer group, Jessica Nieczykowski, Amy Vissotski, Michelle Waschek and Rachel Schneeberger; Lindsey Fredericks, community relations coordinator, Northeast Regional Cancer Institute; Lori Wallace; Laura Toole, director of community and patient services, Northeast Regional Cancer Institute; Florence Marchesano; and Julia Amendola.
