EXETER: The Cosmopolitan Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. today in St. Anthony’s Center. Host and hostesses have been notified.


A casino trip is planned for Dec. 11. Pick ups in Exeter and Pittston. Non-members welcome on trips. Call Johanna at 570-655-2720 for details.


FALLS: The Falls Active Adult Center, state Route 92, is hosting a Thanksgiving lunch on Wednesday. After lunch there will be a patriotic Thanksgiving sing along with Stewart Atkinson on saxophone, Ron Jackson on guitar and Carlene Howard on piano.


Rhoda Tillman from Community Counseling will lead the group in holiday trivia at lunch on Friday.


A wool-spinning demonstration will be given by Cecily Roe from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday.


Rose Brostoski will give an art class on painting Christmas ornament bulbs from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Dec. 2.


The center will have its first Book Club meeting from 12:45-2 p.m. on Dec. 3 . The book to be discussed is “Skipping Christmas” by John Grisham.


There will be a Christmas program by the Rev. Gideon Giatano, tenor concert vocalist, from 1-1:45 p.m. on Dec. 6.


JENKINS TOWNSHIP: The Jenkins Township Senior Citizens will meet at 6:30 tonight at the Jenkins Township Hose Company. President Jean Mudlock will preside.


Members are asked to bring their copy of the by-laws to discuss and vote on changes.


Refreshments will be served after the business portion of the meeting and bingo will also take place.


All members are urged to attend this very important meeting.


LUZERNE/WYOMING COUNTIES: The Senior Peer Counseling Program is looking for male and female seniors 55 and older as volunteers to visit home-bound seniors 60 and older.


Community Counseling Services, Luzerne and Wyoming Counties, is also seeking senior citizens who would like a weekly visitor to come to their homes.


Volunteers are trained to provide support, socialization and companionship. They must be able to drive and devote a few hours each week. There is no cost to participate in the program.


Contact Rhoda Tillman, program coordinator, at 570-836-3118, as soon as possible to discuss becoming a Senior Peer Counselor, or to request a weekly visitor. Caretakers of home-bound seniors may call for more information.


MINERS MILLS: The Community Club will hold it Christmas party on Dec. 5 at the Plains Ambulance Company. For more information call Antoinette Stec at 570-822- 3487.


MOUNTAIN TOP: The Mountain Top Social Club will meet on Nov. 26 in the Father Nolan Hall Day Room at St. Jude Church. Doors will open at 3:15 p.m. New members are welcome. Bakers are Dorothy Wark, Bill Dempski and Otto Eime.


The schedule for next year’s trips is also available.


The Christmas party will be held at noon on Dec. 10 at Sand Springs. Serving time is 12:30 p.m. For more information call Otto at 570-474-0056.


PITTSTON: The St. Joseph’s Senior Social Club will meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Mount Carmel’s Center on William Street. Servers for this month are Gloria Migatulski, Maria and Chet Montante and Marion Licata.


Dinner reservations will be accepted for the Christmas Party. Members should be prepared to pay in full. Bingo and games will follow the social.


Members are reminded that canned goods are needed for St. John’s food pantry.

PLYMOUTH: The Senior Citizens’ Friendship Club of St. Mary’s will meet at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Holy Child School building on Willow Street. Servers are Jackie McCabe, Rosalie Meurer, Jean Mihalick, Janice Perfetto and Maggie Panek.


At the last meeting, chance cash winners were Steve Skovira, John Lelak and Bernadine Clark. Plates of pastries were won by Bernadine Clark, Romaine Volovicz and John Brunick. Louise and Stanley Bednarski were honored for their 63rd wedding anniversary and new members, Joan and Joseph Natishan and Ed Snitko, were welcomed into the club.


The Christmas party will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 1 at Konefal’s Restaurant, Edwardsville. All reservations must be made by Monday.


WILKES-BARRE: The Rainbow Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. today on at Albright United Methodist Church, Dana and Grove streets. Servers are Jack and Dorothy Coach.


Election of officers for the coming year will be conducted.


The December meeting will be the Christmas party at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 17 at Logan’s Steak House.


WYOMING: The Wyoming, West Wyoming Seniors will meet today at the meeting rooms of St. Monica Parish. President Frank Perfinski will conduct the meeting and servers are Eva Cassarri and Stanley Mulesky.


Fifty-fifty winners from the last meeting were Eva Casserri and Betty O”Hara. The bingo jackpot winners were Joe Kosloski and Joann Kwasny.
