Police Blotter

WILKES-BARRE TWP. – Police reported these incidents:

• Anthony Johnson, 26, of Glen Lyon, was arrested Friday on charges he violated a protection-from-abuse order at Bone’s Bar, Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard, police said. Johnson was charged with indirect criminal attempt and was arraigned before District Judge Michael Dotzel. He was released without bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 26 in Central Court.

• Nickolas Hostens, 27, of Nanticoke, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance after he was found with suspected heroin at the Wyoming Valley Mall, on Friday, police said.

• John Boston, 38, of Tunkhannock, faces a charge of public drunkenness after police allegedly found him intoxicated on East Northampton Street, on Friday.

• A 12-year-old boy from Larksville faces retail theft charges after police said he left the JCPenney Department Store, Wyoming Valley Mall, without paying for $40 in jewelry, on Saturday.

• Richard Drobish reported someone cut the convertible top on his 2003 Mitsubishi while it was parked outside Grotto Pizza, Wyoming Valley Mall, on Saturday.

• Cosima Alampi reported someone stole her purse from her car while it was parked outside the Bon Ton Department Store, Wyoming Valley Mall, on Sunday.
