WILKES-BARRE – City police reported the following incidents:
• Clayton Leroy Knorr Jr., 27, of Moosic, and Bo Murray, 23, of Armstrong County, were arrested around 7:30 p.m. Monday after a chase in vehicles and on foot, police said.
Officers attempted to stop a burgundy Chevrolet Corsica for a traffic violation on South Main Street at Academy Street when Murray ran from the vehicle to avoid apprehension He was caught after attempting to flee through several yards and over fences, police said.
Knorr eluded officers down Academy Street to West Academy Street to Riverside Drive, police said. He abandoned the vehicle at the intersection with Pickering Street and fled across the Black Diamond Bridge. Assisted by Edwardsville officers, city police and K-9 units pursued him across the bridge, where they found him hiding under a tier on the bridge over the Susquehanna River.
Both men were wanted by Pennsylvania State Parole agents for allegedly skipping parole in Somerset and Armstrong counties, police said. State parole agent Jeff Ruzicki took the men to be held at the State Correctional Institution at Dallas.
The men will be charged with fleeing and eluding, flight to avoid apprehension, hindering apprehension or prosecution, vehicle law offenses and disorderly conduct.
• Amanda Stolarik, of North Meade Street, reported around 8:15 p.m. Saturday that a computer, DVD/VCR combo and PlayStation with two games were stolen from a residence in Sherman Hills.
• Raymond Novak reported around 2:45 a.m. Friday that a lock box containing cash was missing from his Stanton Street residence. No forced entry was found.
• Tracy Romanoskey, 32, was transported to the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital on Sunday for blood-alcohol testing on suspicion of drunken driving after she was involved in a crash at 296 Carey Ave., police said.
• Margaret Metzger, of 233 S. Sherman St., reported on Sunday that she paid for dogs on the Internet, but that they were never delivered.
• Joseph Storm, 22, Wilkes-Barre, was cited around 2 a.m. Monday at Coal Street Park for public drunkenness, police said.
• Anthony Bridges, 41, Wilkes-Barre, was cited around 2 a.m. Monday at 254 N. Pennsylvania Ave. for public drunkenness, police said.
• Michelle Segall reported around 6:30 p.m. Sunday at 324 Park View Circle, in Sherman Hills, that Robert Brown, 43, Wilkes-Barre, took her vehicle without permission.
• Jurimar Viana was taken for a blood-alcohol content test around 11 p.m. Sunday after officers who had stopped him for a traffic violation on Conyngham Avenue suspected he was driving under the influence, police said. Charges were filed.
• Kari Wentz reported around 10:30 p.m. Sunday that property was taken from her South Franklin Street residence.
• Henry Elick reported on Saturday that his squirrel-catching cage was stolen from 284 McLean St.
