PLAINS TWP. – Township police charged a Plymouth man with giving a false name and date of birth to an officer during a traffic stop in May.
Joseph W. Evans, 27, of West Mountain Road, was arraigned Thursday morning on misdemeanor counts of false reports and false identification to law enforcement authorities, and two summary traffic citations. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
Police alleged in arrest papers that Evans, driver of a Jeep, identified himself with a name and date of birth of a New York state man during a traffic stop on Gouge Street on May 15.
A preliminary hearing has been tentatively scheduled for Nov. 24.
WILKES-BARRE – City police reported the following:
• Hayden Fry, of Hilton, reported on Friday that a global positioning system was stolen from his vehicle when it was parked at South River Street and Wilkes Lane, police said.
• A 34-year-old Mountain Top woman was allegedly in possession of needles used to inject narcotics in the area of Park Avenue and Metcalf Street at 12:01 p.m. Wednesday.
• Ryan Horsley, of Pottsgrove, reported on Friday that medical supplies were stolen from his vehicle when it was parked in the area of 20 Public Square, police said.
• Michael Searfoss, of Grove Street, reported on Wednesday someone spray painted graffiti on his residence, police said.
• Police said Jaroslow Uchin, 60, of North Main Street, was found intoxicated at South Franklin and West Market streets at 8:43 a.m. Friday.
• Kunchang Song, of Norwood, N.J., reported on Friday that a global positioning system was stolen from his vehicle when it was parked at South Main and Ross streets, police said.
• Kyle Rhines, of West Wyoming, reported on Friday that a global positioning system was stolen from his vehicle when it was parked in the area of 91 S. Main St., police said.
• Kerry Harrison, of Plymouth, reported on Thursday that a stereo and stereo equipment were stolen from her vehicle when it was parked in the area of 307 Carey Ave., police said.
• Peter Zambrana, of Sambourne Street, reported a video game system and 10 video games were missing from his residence on Thursday, police said.
• Police said Grant C. Gilson, 23, of Cliff Street, Pittston, was arraigned Wednesday on a retail theft charge for allegedly stealing $233 worth of infant clothing from Boscov’s, 15 S. Main St., on Sept. 5, 2008.
Gilson was released on $2,000 unsecured bail, arrest papers state. A preliminary hearing has been tentatively scheduled for Dec. 8.
• Kelly Bounds, of 1259 N. Center St., Corry, was intoxicated and refused to leave King’s College property at 159 N. Franklin St. at 1 p.m. Friday. He was cited with public drunkenness.
Police said 54-year-old Kurt Saver’s bicycle was stolen at 57 Sturdevant St. on Thursday.
• Two laptop computers belonging to Peter Murray, 65, of Portage, Ind., were stolen from a vehicle while it was parked at 760 Kidder St. around 11:05 a.m. Friday.
HANOVER TWP. – Township police have cited Omerao Kellom, of Gaylord Street, Plymouth, and Desiree Otway, of Vine Street, Plymouth, on disorderly conduct and harassment charges on Friday.
Kellom and Otway got into a domestic dispute on the Carey Avenue Bridge that continued onto Lyndwood Avenue in Hanover Township.
