Police Blotter

WILKES-BARRE – City police reported the following:

Six Wilkes-Barre police vehicles responded to a report of two men in ski masks entering the kitchen of Abe’s Hot Dogs on Barney Street in the city.

• Employees of Abe’s Hot Dogs on Barney Street reported two men entering the restaurant’s kitchen from a rear entrance around 6:30 p.m., but reported nothing missing. No injuries were reported, but the establishment was closed for the evening.

The men, who are being sought for criminal trespass, are described as wearing black ski masks and gloves and dark clothing. One was about 5-foot, 8-inches with a black and white bandana over his mouth, and the other as 6-foot with a black article over clothing over his mouth.

• Ashley Graff of Pittston reported around 8:30 p.m. on Monday that a stereo was stolen from her 1997 Chevrolet while it was parked in the area of West Ross and South River streets.

• Christian Myers, 24, of Hill Street, was charged with retail theft around 7 p.m. on Monday at Schiel’s Market at 30 Hanover St. after he was seen concealing merchandise in his clothing.

• Mary Ann Zakar of North Washington Street reported around 5:30 p.m. on Monday that the state registration plate GXA2661 was stolen from her 2008 Jeep while it was parked at 266 N. Washington St.

• Audrey Cebulo of Hanover Township reported around 4:50 p.m. on Monday that a stereo was stolen from her 2002 Mercury while it was parked at 31 Ruddle St.

• Nelson Evans of Hanover Township reported around 4:15 p.m. on Monday that a stereo, circular saw and reciprocating saw were stolen from his 2003 Dodge while it was parked at 31 Ruddle St.

• Judith Kosloski of Nanticoke reported around 3 p.m. on Monday that a stereo and iPod were stolen from her 1998 Dodge while it was parked on South Washington Street.

• Loreen Bohannon of Kingston reported around 3:30 p.m. on Monday that a stereo, GPS unit and purse were stolen from her 1995 Volkswagen while it was parked in the Wilkes University Blasi lot.

• Catholic Social Services of 33 E. Northampton St. reported around 3:30 p.m. on Monday that a man called to insinuate that a bomb was in the facility. An investigation found none.

• William Dewey of Cummiskey Street reported around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday that the radiator was punctured on his Dodge Neon while it was parked on the street.

• Ellen Velehoski of Duryea reported around 1 p.m. on Monday that the rear window of her 2009 Dodge was smashed while it was parked on Old River Road.

• Darius Walker, 20, of Larch Street, Scranton, was arrested around 11 a.m. on Monday after he was spotted by Michael Miscavage leaving Top of the Slope Ski Shop, Inc. at 100 S. Main St. with two jackets he hadn’t paid for. An officer stopped Walker, who fit the description of the suspect, near the shop and found him in possession of the jackets. He was identified by Miscavage and charged with retail theft.

WILKES-BARRE – Michael Johnson, 25, of Wilkes-Barre was arrested around 3:45 p.m. on Monday in the area of North Main and O’Neal streets and charged with manufacturing and selling crack cocaine, a state police narcotics unit reported.

About two grams of crack were seized during the arrest, according to troopers.
