Police investigate stabbing

WARRIOR RUN – Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred inside of a double-block home on Saturday night.

A man, whose name has not been released, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital at about 8:30 p.m. for a stab wound after a dispute at 513 Front St., according to Warrior Run Mayor Luke Matthews.

Police received a 911 call from a person who was inside the home at the time of the stabbing, he said.

“We’re not clear on what exactly happened,” Matthews said. “It’s still under investigation.”

The extent of the man’s injuries was not immediately known. Police have not made an arrest and suspect information was not released.

Neighbors said it was strange to see activity on their street because it is normally quiet.
