BUTLER TWP. – Township police are investigating the theft of a Bobcat construction machine from Highway Equipment and Supply Co. on Honey Hole Road in the Drums section of the township.
The theft was discovered Wednesday after an inventory check, police said.
The Bobcat model S200 is identified with serial number A5GK20638 and is valued at $37,000. There were no attachments on it when it was stolen. Police suspect the vehicle was loaded onto another vehicle at an adjoining property.
Police are investigating possible ties to a large number of equipment thefts that have been occurring in Pennsylvania/New York/New Jersey area.

BUTLER TWP. – Township police reported the following:
• Mark C. Bartosh, 53, of Arizona, was cited with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and criminal mischief after police responded to a disturbance at the Econo Lodge at about 8 a.m. Sunday.
• Officers are investigating multiple thefts from vehicles that occurred at the Beech Mountain Lakes development late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
More than 10 vehicles were broken into and ransacked; in some cases, coins, gift cards, radios, GPS units and clothing were stolen. Police said it’s possible that more vehicles were entered without the owners knowing.
The break-ins occurred on Hibernation Hollow, Bear Run Drive and Avalanche Lane. Witnesses observed suspicious activity in Hibernation Hollow at about 3:30 a.m., police said.
