WILKES-BARRE – City police reported the following:
Debra Hopps, of Scott Street, Wilkes-Barre, reported 51-year-old Dorothy Fry, of North Sherman Street, slapped her in the face at 7 N. Wilkes-Barre Blvd. at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, police said. It was the second time in four days she said she was attacked.
Hopps also told police Rick Shotwell, no address listed, pushed her down a hill along Coal Street on June 15, according to police.
Marcelo Grullon, 36, allegedly urinated from the second-floor of a building at 175 Blackman St. on Friday.
Someone reportedly stole a camera at Rite Aid and then fled the store at 155 E. Northampton St. without paying on Friday.
Albert Allen, 83, reported someone smashed the front windshield of his 1996 Lincoln Town Car at 54 S. Main St. on Friday.
Charges will be filed against 27-year-old Heta Simko, who allegedly gave a false name to police officers after they responded to a domestic complaint at 496 S. Franklin St. on Thursday.
Mark Maclunny, 31, of Wilkes-Barre, reported someone broke into his apartment at 61 Park Ave. and stole $200 in cash on Friday. The burglary is still under investigation, according to police.
Jose Davila, of Wilkes-Barre, was arrested after police say the 26-year-old attempted to flee from officers after he threatened a tenant at South Grant and Stanton streets on Friday, police said. Charges were filed against Davila for fleeing and eluding.
Kenneth Mitchell, 45, was cited for harassment after police say he continued to call and harass 29-year-old Kiesha Keller at 65 Mill St. on Friday.
Joseph Baloga was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after being involved in a motor vehicle accident at 357 Scott St. on Friday, police said.
Baloga, 52, displayed signs of intoxication and submitted to a blood test at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, police said. DUI charges are pending those results.
Police arrested four people on charges of public drunkenness, three people on warrants and one person on a charge of possession of a controlled substance after officers responded to 484 S. Franklin St. on reports of public intoxication on Friday, according to police.
Greg Brown, 42, Andre Bell, 34, Joanne Everett, 46 and David Gilliam, 24, were arrested on charges of public intoxication, police said. Stephanie Vicker, 39, Jessica Fox, 21, and Howard Clark, 49, were arrested on warrants.
Michael Kelly, 47, was taken into custody on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, police said.
• Two juvenile females were arrested at about 9 p.m. Friday on Public Square for underage consumption of alcohol after a patrol officer saw them drinking.
• Sarah Aed reported at 1:40 a.m. Friday a mirror was damaged on her vehicle when it was parked on South Main Street.
• Alexander Dobson, 36, of Hanover Township, was arrested Friday at the corner of Chapel and New Grant Streets on suspicion of drunk driving.
• A 17-year old female reported at 11:26 p.m. Friday she was sexually assaulted by two males she knew at a building near South Franklin and Academy Streets. The investigation is continuing.
• Amber Evans reported at 3:18 a.m. Saturday that someone smashed a windshield on her vehicle.
• Brandon Underkoffler, 19, of Wilkes-Barre, was arrested on an outstanding warrant after officers observed him in a highly intoxicated state at North Main and East Elm Streets, police said. He was cited with public drunkenness, police said. Underkoffler was booked in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for the outstanding warrant charges.
• Habiba Brown, 27, of Wilkes-Barre, was cited with public drunkenness at 1:12 a.m. Saturday at 68 N. Sherman St., police said.
FOSTER TWP. – State police at Hazleton say a passerby found several thousand dollars in checks, cash and deposit slips belonging to Hazle Township officials on North Sheaman Road on Friday night.
The passerby collected the items and turned them over to the Hazleton barracks, state police said. An inventory of the items indicated a total of $22,263.72 in checks and $11 in cash was recovered from the roadway.
A township supervisor was contacted and an investigation revealed no criminal activity had occurred, state police said. The items apparently had been lost by an employee.
The items were returned to township officials, who told state police all items have been recovered and nothing else remains unaccounted for, according to state police.
