Nanticoke police alleged Baynock hit Amanda Yurksha in the face with a coffee mug during a dispute at his residence on Nov. 9, according to the criminal complaint.

WILKES-BARRE – A former Plymouth Township supervisor and fire chief with the Tilbury Volunteer Fire Co. was recently sentenced in Luzerne County Court to 12 months in a special probation program for his alleged role in a bar fight in Plymouth in April.

Judge Michael Toole sentenced John Rinehimer, 55, on Nov. 9 to the accelerated rehabilitation program on charges of simple assault and harassment.

Toole accepted Rinehimer’s status with the fire department as part of his 15 hours of community service, and ordered him to attend anger management classes, according to court records.

Plymouth police charged Rinehimer, his wife, Donna Rinehimer, 51, both of West Nanticoke, their son, Barry Rinehimer, 35, and his wife, Shelia Rinehimer, 33, both of Shavertown, with taking part in a fight in Maxie’s Bar, Main Street, on April 5.

Police alleged the four family members became upset when they were told to leave because the bar was closing, according to arrest records.

Donna Rinehimer was charged with resisting arrest and harassment. Barry Rinehimer was charged with four counts of simple assault and one count each of aggravated assault and resisting arrest, and Shelia Rinehimer was charged with simple assault and harassment.

Their cases are scheduled to appear before a judge in January, according to court records.
