Ultra marathon cyclist Paul Zbiek will present a workshop on long-distance cycling at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Sickler’s in Exeter.
The program is titled, “So You Wanna Ride a Century,” and Zbiek promises to discus, advise and answer questions on how to ride 100 miles or beyond.
Zbiek has plenty of experience at long distance riding.
Zbiek has ridden over 100,000 miles and completed over 400 UltraMarathon Cycling Association certified centuries. He was 2004 UMCA Mileage Challenge champion with 60 century rides.
For the past five years he completed the longest UMCA Indoor Challenge ride, including the 34-hour Spin 4 Life in February 2013. In August, he will attempt to repeat the “Metric Millennium” (1000 km), to raise money for the Medical Oncology Associates of Wyoming.
Wednesday night’s event is free to the public.
