Mikhail Isaac Hazlak, son of Brian Michael and Katrina Marie Hazlak, was baptized on Dec. 14, 2008, at Holy Family Church, Sugar Notch. The Rev. Vincent Dang officiated.
Mikhail’s godparents are Anthony Chimel, Gilbertsville, and Deborah Hines, Haddon Township, N.J.
He is the grandson of Dale and Marie Hazlak, Swoyersville, and Kurt and Joann Protheroe, Kulpmont. Mikhail is the great-grandson of Andrew and Josephine Steransky, Plains Township, and Elizabeth Hines, Wilkes-Barre.
Mikhail was born on Sept. 30, 2008, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
He wore various heirloom pieces for the baptism. The underlay of the gown was his grandpa Dale’s, the christening gown was his father’s and the booties were his mother’s.
A luncheon for friends and family was held after the ceremony at Michael’s Restaurant in Plains Township.
