CLINICS

Misericordia University softball team will hold a fall skills clinic Nov. 15 and 21 at the Anderson Center. The clinic is designed for athletes of all ages and will feature in instruction in hitting mechanics, throwing and fielding. Cost for either of the three-hour sessions is $25. Pace Setter Athletic Club of Northeastern Pa. will be conducting a series of “Superball Sunday” basketball training clinics at Danko’s All-American Fitness Center in Plains. The clinics will be held on five consecutive Sundays from noon-2 p.m. starting Nov. 7 for boys and girls in grades 5-8. The clinic will consist of basketball skills, drills and strategies combined with sports specific strength training and conditioning routines. Nanticoke Basketball Booster Club will meet at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Alden Manor. All new members are welcome.

Pittston Area Football Booster Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the concession stand to discuss plans for tailgating prior to the Pittston Area/Wyoming Area game. Plymouth Shawnee Indians will meet at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Plymouth Borough Building. All parents are urged to attend. Wyoming Valley West Boys Soccer Booster Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Happy Pizza on Main Street in Plymouth. Parents are invited to attend.

REGISTRATIONS/SIGN-UPS

The JCC/YMCA Northampton Street Basketball League is taking registrations for its upcoming season. Age groups are 5-6 year-old clinic; 7-9-year-old; and 10-12-year-old.
