“WWE 2K15’s” roster is starting to take shape.
The roster was revealed during this past weekend’s SummerSlam panel. The rumor floating around is that the roster will feature a staggering 92 grapplers. The panel this weekend revealed 56 of those wrestlers, which can be found here.
There’s a lot to like with the roster. I’m personally excited about The Wyatt Family’s inclusion, along with Rob Van Dam and the Usos (Jimmy and Jey). The roster is surprisingly current, and it can only get better.
I just hope that, for once, there aren’t 3 or 4 versions of Triple H and The Undertaker and other wrestlers are included. Granted, there are two versions of Hulk Hogan and Sting, but that’s a new animal to tackle. Hulk Hogan’s gimmick with the New World Order (nWo) was as iconic as is red-and-yellow gimmick, and Sting’s “surfer” gimmick from the 1980s is polar opposite from his “Crow” gimmick in the 1990s.
We don’t need two versions of The Undertaker that have the same gimmick but shorter hair. Same goes for Triple H — alternate attires will serve the purpose just fine.
This is a solid roster so far. I’m seeing a lot of hate for it on the internet, which I don’t quite understand. The rosters for WWE games have never been fully revealed all at once, and I doubt that these 56 are all that we’ll be treated to.
Remember, this is the franchise’s debut onto next-gen consoles.
