EDGAR A. WILES, 92, of Sayre, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2004, in Robert Packer
Hospital, Sayre.
Born April 29, 1912, in New Albany, he was a son of the late William and
Carrie Wiles. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, the former Maxine M. Downing; a son, Larry,
Laceyville; a daughter, Carol Lutz, New York; four grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main
Street, Laceyville. Interment will be in the Jersey Hill Cemetery, Meshoppen.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday where
military services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist
Church, 710 W. Pine St., Athens, PA 18810.
