The Discover E Camps for Kids give children an opportunity to explore their local environment and wildlife at Lackawanna State Park. Outdoor Explorers Amphibian Adventurers Camp is being held this week at the Lackawanna State Park Environmental Learning Center in Dalton. A summer kids’ event called Crocodile Dock was hosted at the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church from Monday, July 13 to Friday, July 17. Children participated in Bible-learning activities, sang, played games and created crafts. Crocodile Dock was designed for kids aged 2 to 14 with all expenses covered by members of the Clarks Summit UMC as a community outreach.
This year will be the fourth year that Waverly Community House has partnered with NEPA Area Health Education Center to bring the camp to the Comm. The camp runs for six weeks and each week’s activities center around a different theme. Attendance is approximately 70 to 100 children.
