Firefighters work to vent the roof of the former Murray Complex on South Pennsylvania Avenue in Wilkes-Barre early Saturday evening. City firefighters were dispatched around 7 p.m. to the graffiti-marked building, said Assistant Fire Chief Edward Snarski. The fire had multiple points of origin inside of the vacant two-story structure, he said. It was not known if someone set the fire. The cause of the fire has not been determined pending an investigation by the city inspector, Snarski said. Just last week, Gov. Ed Rendell announced a grant of $1.5 million to help renovate the complex.
