WILKES-BARRE — A woman was cited for public drunkenness after police said they found her sitting in a mud puddle on North Washington Street just after midnight Friday.

According to police, cited was Donna Crawn, 56, of Wilkes-Barre. Police said an officer on patrol observed Crawn sitting on the curb in a mud puddle with her legs in the roadway. The police reports states Crawn had slurred speech, blood shot eyes and the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person.

Crawn was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, cited and held until sober.
