Judith (Judi) Golden, of Plains Township, passed away Saturday morning, June 26, 2010, at the Heritage House Hospice of the V.N.A., Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of Joseph Negry and the late Jennie Piazza Negry. She was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1973, and Misericordia University, Class of 1978.

Judi was employed as the chief of Mine Safety and Health Administration, Wilkes-Barre, since 1978.

She was a member of the Polish Club and Henry Club, both of Plains.

Judi was active with Ss. Peter & Paul School, Plains.

She was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and enjoyed bowling and playing blackjack and craps.

Judi was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Plains.

She and her husband Edmund would have celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on September 28, 2010.

In addition to her husband, Edmund, she is survived by her son, Christopher; father, Joseph Negry, Plains; sister, Janet Nerbecki and her husband, John, Laflin; mother-in-law, Theodora Golden, Wilkes-Barre; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Thompson and her husband, Jay, Randolph, N.J.; nephew, Robert Thompson; and nieces, Maura Nerbecki and Margaret Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Michael J. Mikelski Funeral Home, 293 S. River St., Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Plains. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Plains. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
