UPDATE: Motion to delay reassessment dies on floor

5:06 p.m.

Luzerne County commissioners will not take a vote to delay the county-wide reassessment today.

A motion to delay the process was made Wednesday by Commissioner Greg Skrepenak but neither Maryanne Petrilla nor Stephen Urban seconded the motion.

4:46 p.m.

Commissioners heard almost four hours of public comment from more than 40 residents of Luzerne County who are all complaining about reassessment.  Commissioners are set to vote within the hour whether or not to delay reassessment.
