Freda Wills

    Freda E. Wills, 87, died Thursday at the Masonic Home, Elizabethtown, where
she had been a guestBorn in Plymouth Township, Nov. 30, 1905, she was the
daughter of the late Joseph and Lydia Hoover Evarts. She had resided in the
Wilkes-Barre area for most of her life.
   
She was a member of Albright United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre, and its
choir. She also sang with the Qrotoria cq group for many years.
   
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former Sanitary Coat and
Apron Supply Co., Wilkes-Barre.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin H., in 1981; son, Granville
H., in 1984; brothers, Sheldon and Preston; sisters, Lrovilla cq Boyle and
Thelma Cease.
   
Surviving are daughters, Edith Davis and Charlotte Stanton, both of
Mountaintop; Elverta Watkins, North Brunswick, N.J.; son, Edwin, Clifton,
N.J.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
   
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday from the Edward B. Evans Funeral
Home, 257 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. James Hanley officiating.
   
Interment will be in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas.
   
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
