PLAINS TWP. — Katelyn Colleran singled in Kate Vukovich with the only run of the game with two outs in the seventh inning as Coughlin edged Dallas 1-0 Friday in Wyoming Valley Conference softball.


Coughlin’s Julie Suchocki pitched her first shutout of the season, allowing eight hits. Keighlyn Oliver and Marissa Ross added doubles.


Taylor Baker had a double for Dallas, which dropped its third in a row.

Madeline O’Donohue knocked in two runs in Nanticoke’s three-run second inning as the Trojanettes defeated Tunkhannock.


Tunkhannock answered back with a run in the third as Ryleigh Fitch recorded an RBI. Nanticoke starter Allie Matulewski shut down the Tigers the rest of the way, finishing with a three-hitter.
