Margaret Mandell, 80, of Forty Fort, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
Born May 1, 1929, in West Wyoming, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Julia Kandrovy Repak.
She was a member of the Holy Name/St. Mary’s Church, Swoyersville.
Margaret is preceded in death by sisters Julia, Helen, Mary and Josephine; and brothers John, Adam, Joseph, Frank and Michael.
She is survived by her husband, John G. Mandell Sr. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on April 10.
She is also survived by son John G. Mandell Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Centreville, Va.; grandsons John III and Christopher Mandell; sisters Eva Kinzy, Florida; Anna Mae Lauro, Minnesota; Eleanor Ondish, Maryland; and Rose Marie Selinsky, West Wyoming; brothers Peter, Florida, and Deacon Andrew, Chicago, Ill.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Monday from Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Name/St. Mary’s Church, Swoyersville. Interment is at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call on Sunday, from 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 63 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701
