TUNKHANNOCK — Mujahid Chesson, Zach Evans, Corey Keen and Pat Malone set a school record in the 400 relay to help Coughlin to an 86-64 boys track victory Tuesday and clinch the WVC Division 1 championship.


Josh Colley (triple jump, long jump) and Jack Tidball (1,600, 3,200) led the Tigers effort.

Nick Oldziejewski won three individual events and raced on a winning relay team as GAR cruised to a victory over Nanticoke.


Kyle Merth added victories in the triple jump, long jump and 110 hurdles for GAR.


Nanticoke won two of three relay events in the loss.

Bunch placed first in four events overall for the Spartans (110 hurdles, triple jump, 300 hurdles, long jump) while Deivon Barlow (200, 400) won two events for the Cougars.

Mike Lewis took first place in four events — 800, 1,600, 3,200 and 1,600 relay — to help the Rangers pick up the big win on Monday evening. The victory gave the Rangers the outright WVC Division 2 championship.


Ausitn Mazonkey won two events (discus, javelin) to contribute to the win.
