Arena is a good idea that hasn’t been presented well

In November, a tidal wave hit the country. But in our beautiful Valley, we
had a ripple. We seem to be behind the curve on problems facing this countryI
think the arena should be built. Pennsylvania is sorely lacking in convention
centers, and it would be a great plus for the area.
Unfortunately, the backers of the complex should have shown more thought on
the issue. They should have seen if the price could not be brought down; they
should have gone to Mr. Wegman, the MacArthur Foundation, Kirby Enterprises,
etc. They should have considered whether stocks could be sold, etc. They
should get an extension on the loan time.

Then and only then should the county help.

Instead, they let a local “Johnny One Note” broadcaster take the offensive
and are running for the hills.

Let’s not see our Valley go backward. We owe it to our children to enliven
this Valley. Everyone will benefit.
