Alice Langan
   
March 29, 1995
    Alice “Ruth” Langan, 82, of Cummiskey Street, Wilkes-Barre, died
Wednesday in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains TownshipBorn
April 8, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Curley
Howell.
   
She was a graduate of St. John’s High School in Pittston.
   
She lived in New York City for 30 years and was employed as a store manager
for Horn and Hardart Food Services, retiring in 1979.
   
Following her retirement, she returned to Wilkes-Barre.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; sister, Catherine Gaynor;
infant brother, Joseph.
   
Surviving are a nephew, Joseph Gaynor, Smyrna, Del.; two great-nephews and
one great-niece.
   
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Leo P. Lehman Funeral
Home, 689 Hazle Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Patrick D. Healey, pastor of
the Church of St. Patrick in Wilkes-Barre, officiating.
   
Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hanover Township.
   
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday.
