A hit from Cupid’s arrow has a lovely side effect: uncontrollable, head-over-heels desire for someone in your sights.
Get whacked with R Bar and Grill’s version of Cupid’s Arrow and you’ll fall, all right – possibly off your bar stool.
“I asked myself what the most romantic things are about Valentine’s Day,” owner Lauren Maga said. “Strawberries, chocolate, and Champagne seemed to be the answer, so I put all of those together in one glass.”
Maga mixed chocolate vodka, strawberry schnapps, strawberry syrup and cranberry juice to accomplish the task. After shaking and pouring that mixture into a glass, she fills the rest of it with sparkling wine and tops it with a chocolate-covered strawberry.
“It’s sweeter, more along the sweet taste of the Champagne,” she said, “but you’ve got that hint of chocolate beneath all of it that makes it really delicious.”

Recipe:
• 2 shots chocolate vodka
• 1 shot strawberry schnapps
• Squirt strawberry syrup
• Splash cranberry juice
Shake ingredients together well and pour into glass. Fill the rest of the glass with sparkling wine of your choice, then garnish with a chocolate-covered strawberry.
