Tuesday’s frigid cold has given way to somewhat warmer temperatures this morning.
The Wyoming Valley saw overcast skies this morning. The National Weather Service indicated that it was 25 degrees at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport as of 7:54 a.m.
It looks like the temperatures are not expected to dip below zero for the rest of the week, and could hit the 40s by the end of the week.
Partly sunny skies are expected today, with the high only climbing to 31 degrees. The low will drop to the single digits tonight with partly cloudy skies.
Mostly sunny skies are expected once again on Thursday, with a high of 29 degrees, followed by partly cloudy skies on Thursday night. Thursday night’s low will drop to about 14 degrees.
Temperatures are expected to climb to 40 degrees on Friday with a mostly sunny skies. Friday night will also once again bring mostly cloudy skies with a low around 23 degrees.
