Such behavior only amplifies the distrust of the international society.
Iranian companies have been hard hit by the U.N. sanctions, which are also weighing down on the everyday lives of Iranian people. Iran must change its hostile attitude, which only isolates the country, and return to the path of diplomatic settlement.
As far as diplomacy with Iran is concerned, Japan has accumulated more experience than the United States. Japan must take the lead in persuading Iran to understand that the only way for Tehran to advance the use of atomic energy is to respect a prior Security Council resolution and thoroughly accept International Atomic Energy Agency inspections.
