A roadwork project set to begin today was postponed due to high winds.

PennDOT spokesman James May said a project on Route 6/11 was set to begin today, and go from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day until Saturday. Crews are set to install the cable of the painter’s work platform.

Intermittent stoppages of traffic will occur on SR 6/11, both directions, in South Abington Township at the location of the Turnpike Overpass for up to 15 minutes at a time due to the overhead work on the Turnpike Structure.

May said the work should be complete by tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning if all goes as planned.
