Work along South Main Street in Wilkes-Barre just off Public Square has caused a shift of travel lanes. Workers from Aldridge Electric have been repairing a PPL manhole, said Rich Beasley, PPL spokesman. Beasley said the workers have been on the job for two weeks and it will take two or three more weeks to complete the repairs. Beasley said the top portion of an underground vault needed repair. Beasley said the underground vault, or manhole, allows PPL workers access to underground cables.
