DUNMORE — A Dickson City man is dead following injuries sustained when he crashed his motorcycle along state Route 81 early Sunday morning, according to state police.

Brad A. Raser, 25, was traveling at high speed when he lost control of his 2001 Triumph motorcycle just before 1 a.m. Sunday near mile marker 188.8 on Route 81 southbound, state police said.

Raser was negotiating a left-hand curve when he left the roadway, struck a ditch and a mile marker sign on the grass-covered berm and was thrown from his motorcycle, state police said. Raser was wearing a helmet.

Pennsylvania Ambulance took Raser to Geisinger Community Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, state police said.

Crews closed the right shoulder of 81 southbound while emergency responders worked on the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone who may have seen the crash and who can supply information is asked to call state police in Dunmore at 570-963-3156.
