It’s going to be a warm day in the Wyoming Valley.
The National Weather Service indicated it was 34 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. A few lingering clouds lingered overhead, but sunshine lit the way for morning commuters.
Sunshine will continue throughout the day, with temperatures climbing to the high 60s. Clouds will begin to accumulate tonight, followed by a chance of showers after 3 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible. The low tonight will drop to the upper 40s.
The chance for rain will continue on Friday, with the high climbing to 60 degrees. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected. Rain will be possible before 2 a.m. on Friday night — otherwise, cloudy skies are expected. The low on Friday night will drop to about 40 degrees.
