Irene Stelmack, 86, died on Monday, August 16, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at Vitas Hospice at Nazareth Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Mrs. Stelmack was a 15-year resident of Bristol. She was a former longtime resident of the Mill Creek section of Levittown, Pa.

She was a member of Saint Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Bristol, Pa., and enjoyed her trips to the casinos in Atlantic City, N.J.

For over 40 years, Mrs. Stelmack worked at Pomeroy’s and Boscov’s until her retirement in 2001. After her retirement, she continued to work part-time with her daughter, Lois, for Bucks County Cleaning.

Beloved wife of the late Frank, Mrs. Stelmack is survived by her loving children, Lois Vasvilla and her husband, Richard, of Bristol, Pa., and Nancy Courtney and her husband, Joseph, of Mount Laurel, N.J. She was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, Pa., where her Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions may be made in her name to Vitas Hospice at Nazareth Hospital, 2601 Holme Ave., 2nd Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19107-3606.
