Clarence “Chip” Leonard Grisco, 91, formerly of St. Gabriel’s Road, Benton, son of the late George Grisco and Anna Marie (Patrick) Grisco, of Fairmount Springs, went to heaven on Friday, April 23, 2010 to see his beloved wife, Marion Sauers Grisco. Chip had resided with his daughter, Gail and her husband, Darryl Davis, in Hunlock Creek, for the past three years.

Chip was an engineer and a surveyor. He had worked as a surveyor for the pipeline in Alaska and also for the Coombs Company.

He played guitar in his band, “The New Image” and was a member of the Benton V. F. W., the Elks and Moose Lodges, both of Bloomsburg.

In addition to his wife, Marion Ruth (Sliker) Grisco, who died August 28, 2004, he was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Sauers; two brothers, John and Ed Grisco; and a sister, Eleanor.

Surviving are his five children, Gail Goss Davis and her husband, Darryl, of Hunlock Creek, with whom he had resided; Donna Cienga and her husband, David, of California; Barry Sauers, of Nanticoke; Diane Gaiski and her husband, Maurice, of Harrisburg; Brenda Malone and her husband, Jeff Barone, of New York; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joe Grisco, of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At the request of the deceased, services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Hospice Community Care, Kingston.
