Kingston — Police are searching for a man they say robbed a local bank Thursday afternoon.

Kingston’s police chief said a man walked into Honesdale National Bank, 786 Wyoming Ave., a little after 4 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding “a certain amount of money.”

The man fled with the money, crossed Wyoming Avenue on foot and was last seen heading east on East Bennett Street.

The suspect is described as a white male with some facial hair, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, about 200 pounds, and wearing dark pants and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Anyone with information on the suspect should call Kingston police at 570-288-3674 or dial 911.
