Although some rain was predicted earlier this week for the weekend, it looks like it’s going to be a quiet weekend instead.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 35 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. A few clouds lingered overhead, but it was not enough to hinder the sun from shining down on the morning commute.

It is shaping up to be a mostly cloudy day today, but temperatures are expected to climb to the upper 50s. That cloud cover is expected to last into tonight, with the low dropping into the upper 50s.

Saturday will also bring mostly cloudy skies, with the high climbing to about 60 degrees. Skies will finally clear by Saturday night, with the low dropping to the mid to upper 30s.

Easter Sunday will bring sunny skies, with the high reaching the lower 60s. Clear skies are expected once again on Sunday night, with the low dropping to the upper 30s.
