It’s a wet and dreary start to the midweek in the Wyoming Valley.
Light rain is wetting the roadways for morning commuters. The National Weather Service indicated that it was 41 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.
There will be a slight chance of rain before 1 p.m. today — otherwise, mostly cloudy skies are expected. Today’s high will reach the lower 50s. Cloud cover will give way to clear skies tonight, with the low dropping to the upper 20s.
Sunny skies will return to the Wyoming Valley on Thursday, with the high rebounding back to the upper 50s. Partly cloudy skies will return by Thursday night, with the low dropping to the mid to upper 30s.
There will be a slight chance of rain after 3 p.m. on Friday — otherwise, mostly cloudy skies are expected to wrap up the week. Friday’s high will reach the lower to mid 60s. That chance for rain will carry on into Friday night, with a low in the mid to lower 40s.
