Penn State Hazleton’s annual diversity presentation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Monday in 115 Evelyn Graham Academic Building. The event is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the local community.

Jeff Brauer, professor of social and behavioral sciences at Keystone College, will be the featured speaker. His presentation, titled “Come out, come out, wherever you are,” will provide insights into the adversities and struggles LGBT (Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender) students might encounter as they “come out,” and he will offer suggestions about methods to assist and support students through this process so that they don’t feel lonely and isolated.

An advocate of the LGBT community and contributor at many state conferences, Brauer was a featured speaker at the Northeastern Pennsylvania Marriage Equality Vigil in 2013. For more information, call 570-450-3180.
