Fog settled into the Wyoming Valley this morning after the rain exited the area.

The National Weather Service indicated that was 55 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. A few breaks in the clouds allowed some sunshine to briefly shine through. Fog has reduced visibility, with the National Weather Service indicated that visibility is at a half a mile.

There will be a chance for showers today, but mostly cloudy skies are otherwise expected. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected. Today’s high will reach the upper 60s. Mostly cloudy skies are expected again tonight, with a low in the lower 40s.

There will be a brief chance for showers on Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. — otherwise, partly sunny skies are expected. Winds could also gust as high as 26 miles per hour. There will also be a slight chance for rain on Friday night after 3 a.m., with the low dropping to the lower 40s.
