A group of ”Ambassadors in Action,” volunteers for LHV’s development partner, Heritage Valley Partners, will be installing trail amenities along the CNJ extension in Scranton on Saturday May 3, at 10 a.m. Pat Quinn organized a group of friends of the late Jim Sheridan, who passed away on Aug. 23, 2012. Sheridan was an avid trail user and an advocate of the Lackawanna River.

Sheridan loved the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail and, last November, many of his friends conducted a fundraiser to purchase and install a bench along the trail as a permanent tribute to Sheridan. The bench will offer many others the opportunity to enjoy the trail as Sheridan did during his lifetime.

If you’re interested in helping with the project, meet at the Elm St. Trailhead in Scranton at 10 a.m.
