Enjoy these last few days of sunshine — it’s looking like a rainy end to the week.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 45 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport. It was a cloudy start to the morning, but sunshine should break through as the day progresses.
Sunny skies are expected today, with the high climbing to the mid 60s. Clear skies are also expected for tonight, along with a low in the mid 30s. Areas of frost are expected after 3 a.m.
Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties are under a frost advisory from 2 a.m. tonight to 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Frost will be possible before 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning — otherwise, partly sunny skies are expected. Wednesday’s high will reach the upper 60s. There will be a chance for some showers early on Wednesday night — after midnight, showers and possibly a thunderstorm are likely. Between a quarter and a half an inch of rain is possible. Wednesday night’s low will only drop to about 50 degrees.
