WILKES-BARRE — Citizens Against Property Taxes (CAPTAXES) of Luzerne County, in conjunction with state legislators, will hold a public conference from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Best Western Genetti Hotel & Conference Center, 77 E. Market St., Wilkes-Barre.
The latest updates on Senate Bill 76 will be presented. Senate Bill 76 and its companion legislation, House Bill 76, would eliminate school property taxes in Pennsylvania. Lost revenue would be made up with an increased and expanded state sales tax and increased earned income tax.
CAPTAXES President Joyce Dombroski-Gebhardt encourages the public to attend. Refreshments will be provided.
