George Donadi, Hazleton Area School District director of elementary middle schools, explained on Monday the proposed boundary lines for students who will attend Maple Manor Elementary-Middle School or the Early Learning Center in the 2014-15 school year.
Beginning at the 23rd and Church streets, the boundary line will proceed east, then south along the eastern-most border of Evans Street. The boundary line will then proceed west along 17th Street to Church Street.
The boundary line will proceed south on Church Street to 15th Street, and then west along 15th Street to Locust Street. The boundary line will then proceed south on Locust Street to Diamond Avenue.
The boundary line will continue west on Diamond Avenue to Boundary Street and then proceed northwest along Boundary Street to 15th Street. The boundary line will proceed west on 15th Street to Susquehanna Boulevard (Route 93) and then north to 22nd Street.
The boundary line will then extend northeast to Church Street, encompassing students living south of 27th Street and West of Church Street.
The boundary line will proceed south on Church Street, completing the boundary at the intersection with 23rd Street.
