The Commonwealth Medical College (TCMC) will host its annual golf tournament at Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic on Monday, June 9.
All proceeds will benefit the TCMC student scholarship fund that helps defer the cost of medical school tuition.
“We are committed to helping our students defray the cost of medical school as much as we can,” said TCMC President and Dean Steven J. Scheinman, MD. “Until we have built a large scholarship endowment, our students will continue to graduate with huge debt burdens.”
Since 2008, TCMC’s annual golf tournament has raised over $150,000 for scholarships.
Registration and a continental breakfast begin at 9 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The captain and crew format is limited to 132 golfers. The cost is $300 per golfer; $1,200 for a foursome and includes 18 holes of golf, golf shirt and complimentary gifts, breakfast, lunch, dinner and awards ceremony.
