SCRANTON — The U.S. Attorney’s Office said a former Luzerne County employee was charged with stealing more than $5,000 from the county probation/parole office.
Stacey McGlone, 37, of McAdoo was responsible for the collection of money from people receiving services from the office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. In addition, McGlone was responsible for debts, including restitution and fines, owed by the people served by the office. The thefts occurred between January 2009 and March of this year.
McGlone faces up to 10 years in prison and fines up to $250,000, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
