Gas prices in Wilkes-Barre continue to trend below the state average and hover slightly above the national average.

AAA Mid-Atlantic provided the following figures for today’s average gas prices:

• Wilkes-Barre area gas average at $2.78 today, unchanged overnight and unchanged in the last week. Diesel at $3.20 today, down a penny overnight.

• Pennsylvania gas average at $2.85 today, unchanged overnight and unchanged in the last week. Diesel at $3.23 today, unchanged overnight.

• National gas average at $2.75 today, unchanged overnight and down a cent in the last week. Diesel at $2.87 today, unchanged overnight.
