WILKES-BARRE — A man from Edwardsville pleaded guilty in Luzerne County Court to a firearm offense.

Timothy D. Evans Jr., 20, of Short Street, pleaded guilty to firearms not to be carried without a license.

Under a negotiated agreement, prosecutors withdrew charges of criminal trespass, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct against Evans.

Hanover Township police alleged Evans was arguing with an ex-girlfriend in the Hanover Village apartment complex on April 20, 2013, according to the criminal complaint.

When the woman told Evans she was dating someone else, Evans discharged several rounds from .38 caliber pistol in a wooded area near the apartment complex, the complaint says.

Police recovered the handgun from a toilet bowl inside an apartment.

Judge Michael T. Vough said Evans will be sentenced July 31.
